DeVotchka to Support Les Claypool!

DeVotchka will soon be meeting up with the insanely talented and wildly eccentric Les Claypool on his “The Oddity Faire” tour, supporting him at six of the tour's March dates. The charming, multi-instrumentalist quartet will certainly add even more color to Les Claypool's notoriously crazy, goggle-wearing act.

The year will probably offer few shows more diverse than “The Oddity Faire”, particularly when DeVotchka joins in. For fans and curious listeners alike, it should be a no-brainer to catch one of these shows — it will be abounds with great music, tuxedos, and unwieldy costume headware. These six dates also currently stand as some of fans' last opportunities to catch DeVotchka before they head over to Europe for some dates in May.

DeVotchka Supporting Les Claypool Dates:
3/16 – Kansas City, MO @ Beaumont
3/17 – St. Louis, MO @ Pageant
3/19 – Minneapolis, MN @ Myth
3/20 – Milwaukee, WI @ Rave
3/21 – Chicago, IL @ Riviera
3/22 – Cleveland, OH @ Agora

Dylan Connor Pays Tribute to Weezer

Weezer are, without a doubt, really quirky (El Scorcho music video anyone?). However, Burning Man Festival attendee Dylan Connor has some tales and songs of his own that can match the unique, rocking appeal of Weezer. And, as a major Weezer fan himself, who better to release a (free!) tribute album to the 2001 self-titled Green Album than Dylan Connor?

Entitled the Almost Green Album, Connor covers all 10 tracks off of the Green Album, adding his own, primarily acoustic, touch to them. Despite all of the energy that went in to recording the album, Dylan is making the album available for free. Dylan Connor and Weezer fans, now is your time to rejoice. Get the Almost Green Album here. Also, be sure to check out Dylan's YouTube channel updates — he is currently keeping a video diary of all of his northeast tour dates.
