With Christmas right around the bend, a year filled with countless accolades is slowly coming to an end for The Kopecky Family Band. In the spirit of the holiday season, The Kopecky Family is here to stuff your stocking with an exclusive Christmas song entitled “Our Remedy.” The new holiday track will be available for free via the band’s website as token of goodwill. “Our Remedy” was recorded while the band was on tour this winter, after a long discussion about the significance of the wise men’s visit to Jesus for the first time. The band was truly filled with divine inspiration for this track saying, “We recorded it in one take huddled around one mic. It means a lot to us, hope it means a lot to you too.”
This year has been filled with one fantastic adventure after another for The Kopecky Family Band. With a tour schedule that has brought them from coast to coast, including memorable appearances at both SXSWand CMJ, the band also found time to release 2 coinciding EP’s this fall. The Disaster and the exclusive digital EP (Of Epic Proportions) were released together and received critical acclaim, landing features on RCRD LBL, NPR’s CMJ Spotlight and NPR’s World Café. Things seem to be getting better and better for The Kopecky Family Band as they enter the New Year and they’re hoping to spread a little holiday cheer with this latest release.
