The Obama-Biden campaign uses 'Kiss Me' by our friends, Uncut, for a little added push.
"Every wannabe rocker who took a side alley left of the dial just to avoid Nickelback Drive and Metallica Terrace, has wished they could be in a band as cool as Uncut."
- antiMUSIC.com"...you kind of get the feeling that Uncut could explode into a million pieces of musical chaos... somehow they don't and they manage to have enough pop sense to actually write tunes around all this insanity that are catchy, memorable, and very good."
- Pacific Coast News"I can honestly say, hand on heart, that Uncut now seems to shine beyond many of the classic alternative rock musicians they list as influence."
- Milk Milk LemonadeIt sounds a bit hyperbolic, but we don't shy away from enthusiasm here at The MuseBox: Canada's Uncut is like a force of fucking nature. Seriously, their latest beast, Modern Currencies -- finally slated for US release on July 17th via Paper Bag Records -- is filled with massive, throat-punching rock music. Stuff that's willing to manhandle any takers and snuff out the weak. The album-opening "Darkhorse" begins with a breeze of guitar and sore throat bass thuds, but at about the two-and-a-half minute mark it gives in to a torrent of squalls, drum rolls and a refrain of "let's just kill all the living, they're not made to live." Um, whoa. See for yourself on the fantastic Kris Lefcoe directed stop-animation clip for “Darkhorse,” featuring, among other things, a fire-bombing Ronald McDonald and an army of pissed-off Care Bears.
