X-Factor Marketing: SESAC / NYC Rising

To help build the brand for Performing Rights Organization SESAC with the music industry and developing artists, The Musebox created and managed the NYC RISING artist development contest.  The program, targeting developing artists in the New York area, attracted over 800 entries, with fans ultimately voting online for the five best new artists in NYC: Headless Horseman, Julien Funk, Little Devil, MaG, and Tayisha Busay. Each band was awarded a custom package of development tools and resources.

The Musebox brought in several major partners to increase the reach and impact of the program, including REVERB NATIONA to Z MEDIA,BROOKLYN INDUSTRIES and TITO’S HANDMADE VODKA.  Leveraging all participants’ networks, as well as social media, industry trade coverage and New York media, we created a successful ongoing program.
